Absentee Ballot Instructions & Request Form

As many of you are aware, at this year’s October 13, 2022 Annual Membership Meeting, the OACDL will be having a contested election for President-Elect. All current members in good standing are entitled to vote at this election, with the exception of Honorary and Associate Members. There are two ways to vote.

First, all members physically present at the Annual Membership Meeting may cast a ballot in person.

Second, for any member who will not be attending the meeting in-person, you may submit a written request for an absentee ballot to Amy at amy@oacdl.org. A link to the ballot request form is HERE

Please read the instructions for returning the ballot carefully. All absentee ballots must be received by Amy no later than 1PM on the date of the election, Oct. 13.

All ballots will remain sealed and will not be read or opened prior to the Membership Meeting, at which time they will be tallied by the Executive Director and the Chairs of the Ethics Committee. The content of the ballots will remain secret. Absentee ballots will be counted alongside in-person votes and the person with the most votes will be declared the winner.

PLEASE NOTE: THERE WILL NOT BE A WAY TO VOTE ONLINE THROUGH ZOOM. IF YOU ARE ATTENDING VIRTUALLY, YOU MUST REQUEST AN ABSENTEE BALLOT IN ORDER TO VOTE.

Each of the candidates has submitted a letter regarding their candidacy platform for your consideration.  They are attached here.
