Reimbursement Qualifications for Appointed Counsel

The Ohio Public Defender Commission is seeking public comment on the reimbursement qualifications for appointed counsel in OAC 120-1-10. The Commission will hold an informational subcommittee meeting on July 18, 2025, at 10 a.m. and invites all interested members of the public to attend the meeting to offer feedback on the current qualifications.

The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the qualifications of appointed counsel for reimbursement purposes subject to OAC 120, next steps for the Committee's consideration, and any other matters that may come before the Informational Subcommittee that is within its scope.

Members of the public may attend the meeting in person or remotely. Those wishing to attend remotely may do so via the below Zoom meeting link or phone call options. The meeting will be held in the Midland Building’s 3rd floor conference room, 250 E Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio.
